Impact Executive / Wharton Lecturer

Dr. Nisha Chakravarty’s 20-year career spans the social sector, financial services, and publishing. For over a decade, Nisha has driven access to education, healthcare, and employment through technology and market-based approaches. She currently serves as Safe Water Network’s EVP. Dr. Chakravarty has founded social enterprises in Ethiopia, India, and Kenya, and has held multiple CFO and COO roles. She has lectured on social innovation at The Wharton School, collaborated with China-based Tsinghua University on fintech for rural development research, and advised numerous companies globally on financial performance, supply chain management, tech deployment, and communications. Dr. Chakravarty led shared-services strategy at Goldman Sachs and expense management for Lehman Brothers and Nomura India. At TIME and Scholastic, she oversaw $2+ billion budgets.

Dr. Chakravarty holds a Ed.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Pennsylvania, a M.A. in Quantitative Methods from Columbia University, and a B.S.E. from The Wharton School.
